If u’re Punjabi (or u have Punjabi friends) then u must have heard/said this: Punjabiyan di shan vakhri.

It’s a phrase very commonly used in Punjabi language to express the Pride of being Sikh, simple translations says: Grace/charm of a Sikh/Punjabi is different.

And here is a news article published in MSN India, and it shows how the real and, present-day Punjabis are spreading the grace & charms everywhere around them. Their actions have million times more impact on my culture, I wish if I can do something about them….

Police beat up woman after she complains of sexual harassment

Three to four policemen slapped the victim, pushed her and hit her with a baton when she complained that she was being sexually harassed by truck drivers in the area

Tarn Taran (Punjab): Punjab policemen were caught on camera beating a young woman - who was being sexually harassed by truck drivers - and her aged father here after she called police for help. The incident was recorded by a bystander on his mobile phone on Sunday and was aired by TV news channels.

Three to four policemen slapped the victim, pushed her and hit her with a baton when she complained that she was being sexually harassed by truck drivers in the area.

The policemen also beat up her father. Area police officers denied that such incident had taken place. No case had been registered till Monday evening in this regard. Tarn Taran is about 300 km from Chandigarh.
