Double celestial treat for sky gazers tomorrow Press Trust of India, Updated: January 25, 2012 15:31 IST New Delhi:  Sky gazers are in for a double celestial treat on the evening of Republic Day-- apart from seeing our natural satellite's ashen glow, they will also see Venus and Moon converge into a beautiful conjunction. "Moon's ashen glow or 'the old Moon in the new Moon's arms' takes place when sunlight is reflected from the Earth to one side of the Moon due to which it appears to glow faintly and the entire orb of the satellite is dimly visible," said Director of Nehru Planetarium (Nehru Centre) Arvind Paranjpye. The phenomenon is also known as Earthshine, SPACE Director C B Devgun said. "The glow on the dark portion of the crescent Moon is known as earthshine," he said. Apart from the moon's ashen glow, astro-enthusiasts will also be able to witness a conjunction of thin crescent Moon and Venus tomorrow night. "V

Highlighting row based on particular value in Excell

Dear Colleagues, Very Frequently I’ve come across this requirement when I’m asked to suggest Excel formatting solution where a user needs to highlight the complete row based on some particular value in another column/cell in the same Excel workbook. The solution is very simple, this formula applied in “Conditional Formatting” will do the trick……   =INDIRECT(" ColumnNo "&ROW())=" Value " Ex: =INDIRECT("E"&ROW())="Pending" 1.        Go to Conditional Formatting (option), 2.        Select “ Use formula ” (option), 3.        Enter the above formula with appropriate ColumnNo & Value, 4.        Select the range to which this Formatting should be applied… And u’re done. Ek maut un-kahi.

Ek maut….. Un-kahi si Mujhe istemal kar ke mere apne kehtey hai, Sirf Tumhare sath he hum khush rehtey hai. Piyar toh mujh se bahut hai unko…. Fir bhi naye rishton ki chahat rakhtey hai. Dil-e-nadan ki baton ke bahar aa kar deikhein to… Hum apni marzi se kuch nahi kar saktey hai. Kaise samjhau unhe apni majboori ka sabab, Meri lakh chahaton ki bavjoot eh-kismat… Abb to mere laffz bhi un tak nahi pahuchtey hai. Dil mein paddi apni mohobatt ki laash ko, Hum chah kar bhi zinda nahi kar saktey hai. Aaj har jasbaat mar chuke hai jab dil mein mere, Wapas aa jao tum…. Jane kiyu mujhe kehtey hai. …. …. …. Wrote it on 19th Nov2011, and I'm not sure why I decided to share it today.

Importance of Understanding a person.....

The Scene: A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery.   He answered the call as fast as he could, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy's father going and coming in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the dad yelled: 'Why did you take all this time to come? Don't you have a sense of responsibility? The doctor smiled and said 'I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital and I came the fastest I could after receiving the call and now I wish you would calm down so that I can do my work'   'Calm down! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now, what will you do? said the father angrily. The doctor smiled again and replied doctors cannot prolong lives, go and intercede for your son and we will do our best by God's grace. 'Giving advises when we are not concerned is so easy, murmured the father'.   The surgery to

I'm Sorry Facebook.

Dear Anonymous Readers, Today I’m sharing another important idea which came into my mind on 1 st Jan 2012. I’ve decided to reduce the use of FaceBook, which means that I will now be having more time to put attention into my blog. I was just thinking: What exactly I’m doing on FB? I’m not at all a popular/favorite person…. So the only option for me is to write something on my wall, and wait for somebody to comment on it. Like always: when nobody comments…. Then I start checking on my friend’s walls. But I can do this on my blog too…. I write & share something here, and will start my endless wait for anonymous readers to comment something. As usual when nobody comments on my blogs…. I can surf other blogs & subscribe to them. This way I can get news of new posts on other blogs too. I feel it’s best to stay in my own small world and keep twinkling like a little star in the darkness of night. I’m not sad to be alone…. I had been alone since my childhood, many people came… t
